Ragdoll-test

Are you suited to have a Ragdoll

Test yourself!

-        Practice sitting on the edge of your seat. Your Ragdoll will be in it before you can get to it.

-        Whenever you have visitors, have them be seated on your couch, then proceed to throw a 10 pound bag of potatoes on their lap. After this you should repeatedly rub some sandpaper of their face, arms and hands. This way your visitors can get accustomed to their future welcome to your home.

-        Clean your windows. Are they clean? Then proceed to wet your fingers, and repeatedly place them on the windows about 10 inches above the floor. When you have a ragdoll this area will be permanently washy from snout and paw prints.

-        Vacuum the carpet and your couch. Now rub a handful of wadding all over them and repeat this two times a day. Ragdolls shed too.

-        Go sit at the dinnertable to enjoy your nice hot meal, and throw a bit of meat on the ground. Pick it back up and repeat the process a few times. Your Ragdoll loves to join in on your meals since it so appreciates your company.

-        Call it a nice and early night, to catch up on some sleep. Put a pillow over your head, and one between your legs. Now remain in this position for about eight hours. Very cozy, a cat in bed.

-        Walk through the room, through the hall and up the stairs. Keep an eye on where your shadow is, and leap over it whenever you turn. Normally this is where your Ragdoll will be.

-        Buy some green plants and cut the edges of each day. After a week buy new plants. Your Ragdoll doesn’t really know the difference between your plants and his catnip.

-        Mop your floor, then rub some chalk on it. That’s what wet cat grid looks like.

-        Try getting dressed. Pick up an item of clothing from your dresser, and throw the clothes from the shelves on the ground. Proceed to pick them back up, fold them, and put them back on the shelves. Repeat this every time you get dressed. Your Ragdoll loves to hide in dark and warm places.

-        When it’s 95 degrees outside, sit on your couch and put a hot-water bottle in your lap. Usually this is your Ragdolls place.

-        Go sit behind your computer, and type out a letter. Take both your hands, press them full onto the keyboard, and retype the letter. A Ragdoll is by nature very curious and playful.

-        Cut open your duvet and bury your face in it. This is what it feels like to be cuddled by your Ragdoll. It’s softer than a bunny.

And despite all this… You can’t live without animals.

The love and warmth you get from them is indescribable.
